Natalie Fisher is a celebrated South African artist, recognised for her work as a dancer, choreographer, movement coach, entertainment director, and intimacy coordinator.
Originally from Johannesburg, Natalie trained in ballet before expanding into contemporary, African, jazz, and hip hop. She began her professional career at just 15 and went on to become a principal dancer and co-founder of the Free Flight Dance Company.
In 2007, she relocated to Cape Town, where she established herself as a leading freelance creative, working across theatre, film, television, and live events. Over the course of her career, she has collaborated with internationally acclaimed directors and artists, building a reputation for her versatility, precision, and deep understanding of movement as storytelling.
Her work has received critical recognition, including a Naledi Award in 2024 for The Promise, created alongside Sylvaine Strike.
Alongside her creative work, Natalie is a dedicated educator, teaching at institutions including LAMTA, UCT, Darkroom Contemporary, and the Figure of Eight Dance Collective. Through her mentorship, she continues to shape the next generation of performers.
Natalie remains a respected and influential figure within South Africa’s performing arts landscape.
