Letter of thanks from Sibylle following the 2017 Culture Summit, Abu Dhabi

Dearest Natalie ,

I hope you arrived home safely!

I would like to thank you again from the bottom of my heart for your immense dedication and commitment to our TWOTR – Abu Dhabi project!

Without your creative and thoughtful input – your most beautiful choreography, TWOTR – Abu Dhabi would not have become as sacred and delicate as it did! For me, this edition has been the most beautiful so far and I am looking forward to be working with you again in the near future!

It has been such an enriching experience to get to know you Dear Natalie!

Please keep well and please stay in touch!

With huge love

Bylle xo

The Way OF The Rain – Event Introduction by Sibylle Szaggars Redford

Dear Friends,

Last week TWOTR had the honor to conclude the first Global Culture Summit in
Abu Dhabi with our Live Art Experience. This iteration of our site specific
homage to Mother Earth was awe-inspiring, elegant, delicate, and deeply
moving, and our audience responded with an on-going standing ovation!

Our performers arrived from all over the world and each individually
dedicated their talents in creating our ‘Love letter’ to Earth. Our music
was composed and played by our collaborators Will Calhoun, Dave Eggar, and
Chuck Palmer-from USA. Air: danced by the talented and most creative
Natalie Fisher from South Africa – who also choreographed all the dance
pieces for the performance. Water: performed by the amazing Kiori Kawai
from Japan. Fire: performed by David Nelson, from the U.S., with his
energetic Brazilian Capoeira movements. Mother Earth: Vocals
and performance by the incredible classical singer Carla Dirlikov Canales.
We were honored to have David Rothkopf give us a most powerful
narration focusing on love and gratitude for Earth. Lastly, singer Falu
Shah from India joined Dave Eggar to conclude the performance singing
‘Hope’, melding her unique blend of Hindustani Classical and American Pop
vocals – it was a touching end to a beautiful show.

The Way of the Rain presentation was a most perfect finale to this
successful Culture Summit in which 300 participants from 80
countries gathered together to discuss the role art and culture have in
addressing the challenges of our times. We thank Americans for the Arts

for their generous sponsorship and support of TWOTR. Our gratitude goes
to David Rothkopf, CEO and Editor of Foreign Policy, Carla Dirlikov
Canales, classical singer and CEO of TCP, and the Abu Dhabi Tourism
& Culture Authority, who invited ‘The Way of the Rain Team’ to create our
beautiful finale for all the international summit participants.

For us Earth Day is every day and we are humbled to show our love for
Mother Earth by presenting our homage to Her while highlighting the power.
